The grand pianos in Petrof’s special collection fall into one of two categories – range of choice or unique models - and all have the characteristic Petrof grand piano sound.
The Pianobar is the star of the range of choice and has been adapted in a bar style to suit both music clubs and homes.
It amplifies the pleasant atmosphere in restaurants and bars, thanks to a suite of optimally combined elements.
Petrof suggests completing this instrument with a self-playing system to create a unique instrument.
The self-playing, or samohrajka, system can be used in grand or upright pianos. It allows the piano to play itself by simply inserting a CD. The system plays 88 keys and has mute and soft pedals. It comprises of a 3.5“ floppy drive, CD player, internal memory, LCD display and headphone inputs. A recording function is available if a TFT MIDI recorder strip is installed.
Pianists can play their own music with an accompanying symphony orchestra by installing the Symphony PRO MG soundcard. This provides users with access to various symphonic sounds, from delicate strings to dynamic pieces of music.
The silent piano system can be added to the self-playing system, It has headphones, speakers, microphones, extra soundcards and special CDs and floppy disks, featuring many hours of piano or other accompanying music in MIDI sets.
Petrof recommends the PianoDisc PDS100 Powered Speakers, which have fixed amplifiers. They include special mounting components for assembly within the instrument.
There are two versions of the system - acoustic and platinum.
The acoustic version has 32MB of memory with 25 hours of piano music installed, while the platinum version contains 64MB of memory with 25 hours of piano music installed and a further 10 hours of music which includes other instruments.
The platinum version needs to be installed with the Symphony PRO MG sound card in order for the symphony settings to be replayed correctly.
The other piano models in the range of choice are the P IV Baroque, suited to baroque-styled interiors and the P IV Rococo Gold which is white, with gilded decorative elements making it ideal for interiors of a similar style.
There are three grand pianos in the unique models range, the Jubilee Model Petrof III, the luxury grand piano P 194 Sabina, and the grand piano designed by Peter Kršák. The unique models prove that the Petrof company is ready to satisfy the wishes and of the most discerning customer.
It is a Petrof tradition that every 10 years it produces a new original piano, whose production will never be repeated.
For Petrof’s 140th anniversary the Jubilee model Petrof III grand piano, a completely exceptional and original piano, was created. It is equipped with a magnetic accelerated action (MAA)
The Petrof III, Jubilee model is a one-of-a-kind piano, distinguished by its original and exceptional quality of design and craftsmanship.
The P 194 Sabina is a middle-sized concert grand piano decorated by an exotic pearl Paua from New Zealand. All the metal fittings of this instrument are either nickel-coated or chromium-plated. The decorative insertions of the iron plate windows, the peripheral screws of the iron plate and the lid prop are uniquely designed, and made of white shining metal. The hexagonal legs are entirely original and the subtle stainless steel and pearl incrustation enhances their outer vertical edge. The same detail is used on the box of lyre. The Petrof sign on the fallboard is also made from pearl. The originality of P 194 Sabina enhances its beautiful sound quality, which is characterized by a romantic and lyric tone. It offers a splendid and luxurious experience, a result of the instrument´s excellent harmony between the original design and noble-minded tone.
The P 210 designed by Peter Kršák is an example of Petrof’s ability to customize artistic production to the wishes of an individual customer. The external and internal design are chosen by the customer, the actual construction and sound parameters are from the P 210 Pasat grand piano of the master series.
