MARK LEVINSON IN PETROF - MAY 2009

The characteristic Petrof sound has drawn attention of audio-legend and jazz musician Mark Levinson. Levinson is known for his extraordinary abilities to hear music, and is called the man with the “golden ear”. He is known for creating the most advanced audio products, now through his Swiss company Daniel Hertz S.A. As Chief Sound Advisor to LG of Korea, he is personally excited to support the development of new LG audio systems with high end sound for a reasonable price.

The cooperation of PETROF and Mark Levinson will result in an astonishing presentation of short piano concerts, recorded by Mr. Levinson and immediately played back on a Daniel Hertz audio system. Listeners can compare the live performance and the reproduction. The unique technology of Mr. Levinson’s recordings and playback equipment reveal the extraordinary qualities of the PETROF piano, even with MP3 files.

In current PETROF activities, there is also a parallel development - the second generation of PETROF family: chromatic music or electro-acoustic pianos. These activities have been part of PETROF’s research and development, which should enrich pleasure from playing an acoustic piano or listening to music, and intensify emotions, which PETROF instruments without question bring.
