Tickets on sale for David Helfgott Fundraising Concerts

A fascinating man with an amazing gift, David Helfgott’s life has taken some of the most improbable turns imaginable, including having his extraordinary life inspire the Oscar winning film Shine.

The benefits of music in education are well documented, but many school music departments need extra financial support, so, despite his already hectic 2010 schedule (including international tours to Germany, Austria, Turkey and Finland) David Helfgott has kindly agreed to do a series of fundraising concerts.

All revenue from ticket sales will be donated to the participating QLD school, who will be hosting the concert, to help them raise enough money to buy a brand new grand piano.
