Rim
Petrof original.
Inner rim – laminated, 13 solid beech and birch lamels.
CNC worked, high accuracy.
Outer rim – laminated from birch plywood lamels.
Inner face veneered horizontally by Ebony Makassar.
Total rim thickness 78 mm.

Very stout rim ensures high and long term tuning stability and action regulation stability. Strong rim and its numerical working supports propper crown of sound board, which conduces to precious colour of tone. Rare Ebony on inner face supports noble appearance of piano.

Frame posts
4 longitudinal spruce posts, 1 additional descant post made from compressed beech wood Lignamon, 1 cross spruce posts.
Joints of posts and rim - fish tail + beech dowels.
Cross block of wooden frame is reinforced by profiled steel rail.
Wooden frame is CNC worked.

Total of 6 frame posts and reinforcing of cross block by steel rail ensure its extraordinary form stability. Last descant post made from „Lignamon“ conduces to bright tone of high frequencies. CNC working ensures perfect accuracy, which conduces to exact tone of this instrument.

Legs
Petrof original.
Solid beech core, solid alder outer lining, Gabon counter veneer, decorative veneer.
Prolonged legs to 625 mm.

Robust legs construction ensures high piano stability when played dynamically.

Iron plate
Czech producer.
Gray cast iron, wet sand casted, hand finished, CNC worked.
Full pin block zone.
New colour.

CNC working ensures high accuracy of string scaling. Bright colour shade supports noble look of piano.

Iron plate support
Adjustable steel bolt between iron plate and and cross block of wooden frame.

Support of iron plate increases its form stability, resulting better tuning stability.

Hardware fittings
Petrof original.
Solid polished brass, lacquered, stain resistant.

All the fittings are maintenance-free.

Pinblock
Special compressed beech plywood Multiplex type, density 800 –850 kg/m3, made with using moisture resistant glue.

Pin block is high resistant to climatic changes, providing stable torque of tuning pins and high tuning stability.

Soundboard
Petrof original.
Soundboard is made from European spruce wood.
It´s asymetric crowned, diaphragmatic tapered from 9 mm under the bridge to 7 mm along its perimeter.
It´s new shaped in descant arc.

Asymetric crown and diaphragmatic tapering of soundboard gives piano great acoustic output in the whole tone range. Piano sounds enough even in big concert halls.

Ribs
Petrof original.
Ribs are made from European spruce wood.
They are individually asymetric shaped, tips are hand fitted. Corner cross rib is laminated from beech lamels to arc form, CNC worked.

Individually asymetric shaped ribs support asymetric crown of the soundboard. Proper soundboard crown participates on nice piano sound. Arc cross rib makes better conditions for vibrations of the soundboard.

Bridges
Petrof original.
Treble bridge – solid beech body, maple top cap in middle section, top genuine ebony cap in top descant section.
Bass bridge – solid beech body, top maple cap.
Bridge is lightened by horizontal holes. Top caps are graphite coated, hand notched, hand drilled for pins.

Maple and Ebony caps of treble bridge support bright tones of middle and treble frequencies. Lightened bass bridge enables excellent good sounding of low tones.

Scale
Agraffes, front and rear pretuned duplexes.
Laser positioning of duplex bridges (frets).
Single string hitching in the whole range.

Using of agraffes and duplexes shares in rich colour of piano tone.

Tuning pins
Nickeled steel, stain resistant.

The tuning pins are of the finest quality, corrosion resistant and fully comparable to the best brands.

Strings
Steel wire Mares USA or Röslau Germany.
Copper Degen Germany.
The longest bass string 1710 mm.

Strings used in the P-II grand piano are made from string wire of the world´s highest quality.

Hammer heads
Abel Germany, walnut or hornbeam mouldings Abel Premium felt Hornbeam hammer shanks.

Abel hammers are one from the world best, made from very special hammer felt. These hammers enable to obtain wide scale of tone colour.

Dampers
Renner Germany.

In this grand piano dampers are used which are produced by the German company Renner. They are from solid wood and from special felt of the highest quality. These dampers are considered to be one of the best worldwide.

Action
Renner Original, Germany. Wippen rail is made from verticallyoriented plywood Multiplex type.
Hammer rail is made from solid beech wood. Action parts and hammer shanks are made from hard hornbeam wood.

The Renner action is generally rated as one of the best. It is reliable, equally quick and it is the most frequently used action in grand pianos of world class quality.

Keyboard
Petrof Original.
Petrof keyboard are made from solid European spruce.
White key tops – acrylic plastic Polyplex Sweden.
Black keys – genuine Ebony wood.
Keys are individually balanced.

Petrof keyboards belong among the top quality keyboards. Ebony wood provides pleasant feeling while played, it supports certain play.

Key bed
Petrof construction, spruce wood sandwich, beech veneered.
Beech wood insert is set in the spruce core in legs and lyre zone.
Key bed thickness is 47 mm.
The key bed is additionally reinforced by bulky solid wood rail from below.
Key bed is CNC worked.

Robust reinforced key bed ensures high stability of piano, it provides feeling of reliance at play and conduce to stable action regulation.

Pedals
Three pedals, solid polished brass.
Middle pedal has function of prolongement.
